Extremely cheap!

I have four 1.5TB HDDs in my WHS box that I got for <$100...cannot wait until 3TB capacity hits the shelves. Smile

Well, I just started purchasing parts for the new computer I am going to build. I just ordered an Antec Performance TX TX1050B SOHO Mid Tower case with an Antec 500 True PSU that can handle SLI. I'm looking at a SATA Seagate 160 HHD, but haven't bought it yet. Next will probably be the video card which will be the nVidia 7800 and Creative's new sound card. I'm holding back on Mobo's, CPU, and memory due to AMD is going to release a DDR2 chipset later this year. This will allow me to save up some more money. As you can see, I'm not holding back this time. Eventually, I will get a good LCD monitor that can handle gaming such as FEAR and HL2. Already have a Plextor DVD/CD burner, so that is one thing out of the way. Don't know whether to omit a floppy drive or not. I guess I should get one just in case. Well, will update as the project progresses. Cool

Hmm......interesting to browse this post and compare these components to what is available today Cool

I'm thinking of getting an ATI 5870. Which of course, would require me to get three monitors for Eyefinity! Laughing

Good luck with yours, some cheap hardware these days if you shop around and play the waiting game

www.slickdeals.net for everything I buy!

Ahh yes, the watercooling bit. One of these days I might do that, haha.

I have a OCZ 120GB SSD myself. I have 17.8GB left free on it after some Steam games, BC2, FO3, The Force Unleashed and X3!

I need another, but I just can't justify another $300, haha.

Should be a fast rig when you get it together. Smile
